Zachry Engineering Center Construction: Present Day

Social and political waves roll back and forth to drive changes in the technical directions of nuclear energy policy and application. On the other hand, the increasing need for energy in our ever-developing global societies coupled with finite fossil energy resources cries out for a long-term vision for the sustainable large-scale production of energy. Nuclear energy is a vital component of that vision. The FCML was created, in part, to participate in the local and global conversations that are shaping and safeguarding that vision while contributing to the development of young scientists and engineers who share that vision.
